Events and Activities

DASH operates a range of autism-friendly social groups for adults aged 18+ with an autism diagnosis. Our groups bring people together in a relaxed, informal way, creating welcoming spaces where individuals can connect with others who truly understand them.

Building Confidence

Our groups are designed to be safe, supportive, and pressure-free.

There’s no expectation to talk or take part, you can join in at your own pace. Whether you’re looking to make friends, build confidence, or simply spend time with others in a comfortable environment, our social groups offer a place to belong.

Groups run at different times throughout the week, with both daytime and evening options available. If autism has made it difficult for you to get out and about or meet new people, our groups can be a gentle and supportive way to reconnect socially.

Activities vary depending on the group and the interests of those attending. They may include:

  • Bowling and other social outings
  • Walks and outdoor activities
  • Crafts and creative sessions
  • Games and structured activities
  • Informal social meet-ups

Safe and Sociable

Where we meet

Groups take place in a range of settings chosen with members’ preferences in mind. Some meet in community venues, while others prefer more informal environments for example, one group meets weekly at a local pub and uses this time as their regular social and peer-support network.

Our team also know how to use these spaces to create an environment where people can open up and talk with confidence about the challenges they face.
