Supporting autistic adults to lead happy and healthy lives.

We are an accessible charity that helps autistic adults in the Swindon area to lead happy, confident lives.  Autistic people deserve to feel understood and accepted.  We focus on strengths as well as challenges and we provide practical support and encouragement.

Our impact at the heart of Swindon

Everything we do is guided by kindness, respect, and lived experience. We listen carefully and tailor our support to your individual needs. We understand that everyone is different – there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

How can we help you?

After diagnosis programme

We can help you understand your autism diagnosis, accept it and take control.  We will work with you to find coping strategies and focus on your key strengths. Together we’ll find resources and solutions that build your confidence.

Autism Matters

Our personalised one-to-one support service can cover a wide range of practical and emotional needs.  This might be coaching, support at a tribunal, helping you talk to your employer, finding reliable answers or even working through problems like addiction.

Events & groups

You can meet other people with autism through our groups and activities. These are safe, relaxed spaces to chat, make connections, and learn new skills.  Activities include bowling, walks, crafts and more to help you form friendships at your own pace.

Training & awareness

We support employers, carers, and organisations to understand autism and the challenges  people can face.   Autistic adults can make the very best employees – they are focused, loyal and have amazing attention to detail.

Supporting Autistic Adults, Every Step of the Way

Too many autistic adults face barriers to support, employment, social connection and independence. Without the right help, this can lead to isolation, anxiety and poor wellbeing.

DASH exists to change that — by offering:

  • Clear, accessible information
  • Understanding, non-judgemental support
  • Opportunities to connect and belong

Lived experience at the heart of what we do

Navigating adulthood can be complex — especially without the right support. At DASH, we work alongside autistic adults to help them better understand their needs, build confidence, and access the services and opportunities that matter to them. Our support is person-centred, respectful, and shaped by lived experience.

“Who knew? The difference between shutdowns & meltdowns”

“I have recently gone through the After Diagnosis Programme. I learnt the difference between shutdowns and meltdowns, I learnt that not everyone ‘is a little bit autistic’ that was so important to me and validated my diagnosis which I had to wait 3 years for. The course has made me more confident at work and I can talk to people at work now without massive anxiety. I have also used the techniques I learned at my card club and I now enjoy it much more and can stay for the whole session as I take sensory breaks and I know that ok now !”

“DASH has given me my voice back. Together we can challenge the future"”

“Swindon is lucky to have an organisation like DASH providing support to people in the Autistic Spectrum. Providing help regardless of the issue, such as feelings of isolation, accessing benefits, coming to terms with the diagnosis or just listening to you totally without judgement.”

“I'm much more knowledgeable about my autism"

“I did the 3 week program with DASH , If I am honest I did not know what to expect and wasn’t expecting to much. However I really enjoyed it and found it helpful. I am now much more knowledgeable about my autism , I am volunteering in a cafe and I have joined one of the social groups where I hope to find friendships ”

We are grateful to these organisations for their support
